Cross over the picnic-filled Pont des Arts bridge and enjoy the sunset over the Paris rooftops. See the Louvre as never before and relax onboard a boat cruise on the Seine. Did we mention free wine is provided on the boat?
Make no mistake - this tour is 100% different from our Paris Day Bike Tour. Paris Night Bike Tour - Faqs
This is the text for the Frequently Asked Questions that applies to this specific tour.
Question: Where is the meeting point?
• Your tour meets at the exit of the Dupleix Métro station (line 6).
• Your guide will be holding a large white sign that reads Fat Tire Bike Tours and has our logo on it.
Question: Is there a stop for food?
We do not stop for dinner, although we do stop for ice cream early in the tour! Please eat something substantial prior to the tour, and bring a little extra cash along should you wish to purchase some ice cream.
Question: Is the wine included in the tour price?
Yes! And a Seine River Cruise too!
Question: What about children? What do they drink on the boat?
We will offer a complimentary can of Coke, Coke Light, Sprite or Orangina to all that choose not to drink wine.
Question: Is this tour appropriate for children, and if so, what are your bike options?
All of our bike tours are excellent family activities! However, the Paris Night Bike Tour is a bit faster paced and involves more street traffic, whereas our Paris Day Bike Tour has a more leisurely pace and stays mostly on bike paths and sidewalks. If you're travelling with kids, we often suggest taking the Paris Day Bike Tour first in order to gauge their comfort on tour, and deciding later about the Paris Night Bike Tour. If you are only interested in the Paris Night Bike Tour, please make sure that your children are comfortable on bikes and riding in a group.
We have loads of families and we're a great family activity. We offer multiple bike options for children depending on their age, size, and riding ability. You can view our bikes here:
• For children under 18 months of age or 20kg (45lbs), we have baby seats that attach to the back of an adult bike.
• For children weighing up to 30kg (65lbs), we have toddler-trailers that can be left open or zipped up to fully enclose the passenger(s).
• For children up to 12 years old or 45kg (100lbs), we have 2-wheeled tag-along tandems. The passenger sits on a seat and can pedal or coast. All riders over 45kg (100lbs) must ride their own bicycle.
• For children who are able to ride their own bikes, we have several 20" and 24" available at our office. When booking online, be sure to select all members of your party (2 adults, 2 children, for example) and then select additional equipment if necessary. We cannot guarantee that we will have our smaller bikes available for those without a reservation.
Question: Is a helmet included?
Yes! Helmets are optional, but we have sizes for all ages available in our office.
Question: Can we buy water at your office?
Yes! All of our bikes come equipped with luggage racks so that you can take it with you on tour without having to hold onto it.
Question: Is this tour offered in any other languages or only English?
All regular tours are in English, but private tours can be scheduled in other languages.
Question: Do we go inside the museums and monuments?
Unfortunately, 4.5 hours does not give us enough time to enter any of the sights that we see on the Paris Night Bike Tour. This tour is designed to enjoy the city from a broad perspective and come away from it with a greater understanding of its history and layout. After the tour, however, we have lots of information in our office with regards to museum opening times and the best way to see them. Your tour doesn't end when the biking is over; we are also a full-service English helpdesk ready to answer your questions!
Question: Can I leave the tour early?
Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate special requests like this on our public tours. This tour is 4.5 hours and once you begin, we ask that you stay with the tour guide and the group until the end. If you're interested in something shorter, please inquire about a private tour.
Question: How long is the ride?
Our Paris Night Bike Tour covers approximately 8.2 miles (13 km).
Question: What is your cancellation policy?
We are happy to offer full refunds for our night bike tour if the reservation is cancelled more than 72 hours (3 days) before the scheduled tour. We do not offer refunds for any reason once we are within 72 hours of the scheduled tour.
Question: Are the tours cancelled if it rains?
No, our tours run rain or shine, and we have rain ponchos available in our office for anyone that needs them. They are only €1 and we will gladly buy them back from you if they are not used during your tour. We encourage all guests to consult the weather forecast and plan your dress accordingly.
Question: How does the Paris Day Bike Tour compare to the Paris Night Bike Tour?
Many customers want to know the difference between our Paris Day and Paris Night Bike Tours. First, the routes and information provided are completely different.
The Paris Day Bike Tour is where you'll get the most information about Paris. We hear one of two comments most often after the Paris Day Bike Tour. Either, "Wow, I'm so glad I took this because now I know what I'm going to do the next few days while I'm in the city" or we hear, "I can't believe I'm leaving tonight because there's so much more here that I didn't know about and I've missed it all."
The Paris Night Bike Tour is simply beautiful. There is more riding involved and slightly less information than the Paris Day Bike Tour, but the city at night is fantastic!
Most of our customers take both of our tours by taking advantage of our Day & Night Bike Tours - 50% Off Combo. However, if you're not sure, we suggest you take whichever one sounds most interesting to you, and then you can decide at that point if you enjoyed it enough to ride with us a second time. We think we know what your answer will be...
